Corey Henriksen has spent over 25 years as a businessman and attorney with experience in all aspects of financing, mergers and acquisitions, development, liquidation, sales, and workouts within the wholesale and retail petroleum industry, as well as the hospitality industry and various aspects of comercial real estate.
A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Corey attended Emory University School of Law, where he obtained his J.D. and was a member of the Law Review.
His activities within the wholesale and retail petroleum industry began in 1984 in Houston as an attorney with the international firm of Bracewell & Patterson (now Bracewell & Giuliani), where he was involved with the numerous multiple acquisitions of retail petroleum sites and convenience stores nationwide for National Convenience Stores. Among other positions during his business and legal career, Corey was regional counsel for FMAC, a securitized lender, involved in structuring and closing retail petroleum transactions. Previous to that, he was the Special Assistant / Special Counsel to the California Field Office Director of the FDIC, where among other things, he was a voting member on both Senior and Junior Credit Review Committees. On the hospitality side, Corey worked with Bob Woolley and Tom Herskowitz in developing and financing Embassy Suites. Corey has also worked with a number of companies involved in growth financing; mergers and acquisitions; valuations; and strategic planning.
Corey’s focus is solely on financing. Acquisition and Refinance Capital, Inc. was founded for the sole purpose of obtaining numerous capital alternatives for owners and operators in the petroleum industry. Corey also obtains hospitality financing for his petroleum clients, and additionally represents borrowers in working out loans that were either securitized in pools or held in portfolio, and then obtaining acquisition, construction, and refinance funding.
